"Who are you?" Juste spoke suddenly, his voice low and calm. "Show yourself."

A young man with ragged clothes that hung on his small frame, peered out from behind a bush. "It isn't safe here! They're everywhere! Turn back now while you still can!" He was obvious distraught. Alia walked over to him. He looked harmless enough, though she remained gaurded. "Who is everywhere?" Before she could get an answer he ran off into the woods in the opposite direction in which they came.

Strange garbled voices could be heard. They didn't sound human. Putting her finger in front of her lips, she signalled to Juste to remain quiet. She had no weapons and scolded herself silently for being so carefree earlier.

Juste did as he was bidden, quietly approaching Alia.

She reached for a fallen branch and gathered some rocks. Primitive for weaponry, but it was all she had. Grabbing onto the lowest branch of the thick tree, she hoisted herself up quickly. A fluttering of birds alarmed by the sudden appearance, flew off into the evening sky.

Juste carefully and quietly reached for the sword which hung at his side, removing the scabbard and blade he tossed it up to Alia whilst maintaining a steady grip on his staff. It was all he needed.

Aramill was surprised to see how well Merrick traveled with stealth, mainly because he was a orc. He knew Feris was not far away either for he could not see or hear him. Aramill stopped just a few feet behind Juste and studied him closely Merrick stopped just behind Aramill and studied the situation with his superior night vision.

Juste remained oblivious to the presence behind him, maintaining a calm, zen like trance amidst the strange mist. His eyes would do him little good here, his ears however remained primed. No sound escaped his notice.

Alia caught the sword and gripped it firmly in her delicate hands. She was relieved to see that others of the group had joined them. It was difficult to see with the darkness falling all around them and the moon obscured by the thick foliage. She didn't know what they would encounter, but they would be ready for it.

"What do you see Merrick?" Aramill whispered.

Whispering back he got an answer. "Juste and Alia are arming themselves, four men sit around a low burning camp fire in armor and traveling cloaks. Their is a sentry on the far end of the camp he looks to be Klundor. Two hrses are grazing while hitched to a wagon. These men look as if they are resting."

Juste spared a quick glance over his shoulder at the others, their quite whispering making them known to him. He couldn't understand the fuss. If it was only a few men with no obvious malicious intent then why had the stranger attempted to warn them away? What had caused the strange mist? Things did not seem to add up and Juste felt a twinge of nagging suspicion in the back of his mind.

Feris silently slipped out of the tree next to Juste, and whispered. "Do me a favor if you can scan for any hint of dark magic, dangerous intent or anything else that may tell us why you guys came over here."

"And what gave you the idea that I could do that?" Juste whispered in reply.
