Kain glanced at the large black bird perched on his shoulder. It seemed behaviour for it, stranger still was the fact that he could see no other rooks in the area. Why would one be so far out the way? Hearing a loud caw he looked up to the sky where several rooks were circling directly above his head, high up in the clear blue. An ominous sign.

Sora's ears twitched under her hood. The rooks were deciding which person would be the most delectable. It was quite unnerving.

[Mr_D]

The large black bird cried in Kain's ear once more though he did not move to remove the bird.

[Magus]

" 'Nothing wrong?' Try 'nothing right'! Name one good thing a bird's ever done!"

[Mr_D]

"They're looking for their master." Kain spoke softly as he watched the ragged black birds circle, the tattered black feathers of their wings giving them a disshevelled appearance.

[Princess of Fire]

"They can also deliver parsles."

[Mr_D]

"Tell those people to hurry. They need to leave this place as soon as possible." Kain said to Iadan and Sora.

"And if the two of you value your lives you should do the same."

[Magus]

"And why is that, exactly?" Iadan asked in an indignant tone. "Since when have you been appointed dictator of the wayfarers?"

[Mr_D]

"The crimson knight approaches." Kain said in an ominous tone.

[Magus]

Iadan laughed. "Who's that supposed to be, some Tommyknocker meant to scare naughty children? Please, I am no child so you can stop treating me as such."

[Mr_D]

"Tell me. Have you ever heard of the fall of Dulmerh?" Kain asked.

[Magus]

"Let's just say I've been more preoccupied with a different vein of interest..."
