"It's quite big for inside, isn't it?" She cocked her head as she stroked a tree. The bark felt rough and dirty under her fingers, and it smelled of the same earthy smell that she remembered.

"I had almost forgotten where we." Tsar said, taking one last look around him before steping forward.
"Let's keep moving."

As far as you seem to go, and as quickly, you can't find the walls of the tower, nor a staircase up, but if you turn, you eternally see the staircase which led you to this second floor. The forest goes on and on, eerily light and eternally cheery, as though fossilized in the tower's memory. The forest is not intimidating, except in the age of the trees, and the grandeur of them. There is no movement except for your own footfalls, and the shadow of a spy. The forest is silent. The tower watches you for its own amusement, testing, waiting, but does nothing

"An illusion, but a very good one. This tower is testing us...as I knew that it must. Whatever created it, created this, it has ancient memories...memories that it knows I covet." The woman shook her head. It must know. Somewhere in this place was her name, the name of the ageless one with memories that she should not possess.

Tsar just continued walking, he had walked all his life, always moving forward. It didn't matter to him that the woman said it was all an illusion. He himself was an illusion, a mere shadow of his former self. Without his suit he was nothing, a hollow shell of a man with a hollow shell of a heart.
He glance up into the leafy green of the trees, even an illusion was better than nothing.

Marron chuckled silently to herself, comfortable in the height of the trees, hidden by the shadows.

They were fools.

Did they think that the tower would just let them walk forward? Did they think that the tower would only set tests that could be overcome by endurance or the touch or a sword?

She had overestimated them.

The tower had overestimated them.

It would set tests so hard that their weak minds would quail. They would have no choice but to turn or perish on the floors that evaded them.

But the answer to the puzzle was so simple...What was wrong and what was needed...They needed but say it out to part the trees.

Those who sought the tower sought themselves. To seek the answer, answers must be known.

Once, she had gotten far enough to know the methods of the tower, but never it's secrets.

Some puzzles were just too painful for the most hardy mind to crack.

The forest will accept no fire, your wanderings are leading you nowhere. The suit may support the cyber, but if you have no such thing, you will eventually begin to whither.

The tower waits, cocky and confident that you will turn back...when your stomach gets the better of you.
