Hey yall, here is a little history of what happened to the Kingdom of Kendale. All is welcome to join. At the moment, it is just Taith and I:

The kingdom was at peace as it had been for many years. Nothing unexpected ever happened except for one day. A strange black mist slowly trailed through the village. No one knew what it was, not even the wisest, but there was a strange odor about it. Many days had passed and nothing else happened, so everyone dismissed it and forgot about it. Things were going fine until the day after a new moon. The sweet and innocent became mean and destructive. Their behavior was inexcusable. The crime rate started to increase within the village, and strange enough within the castle as well. The king and queens safety was in jeopardy as well as the Princess. But who could they trust? Almost everyone was effected by this madness. The Royal family was not simply because their luck was in their favor. Strange enough, it was the day of Shira's 15th birthday, and the family decided to have a picnic out by the waterfall about six miles from town. The villagers set fire to the shops, and even the castle guards went berserk. The only enemy this kingdom has at this moment, is themselves.

Flames tower thirty feet over the ruins of the fallen castle of Kendale. Corpses are scattered across the ground of the soldiers that died fighting to save their kingdom as well as the women and children that lived within the enflamed homes. Enemy soldiers still lurked within the castle walls. Suddenly there was movement amongst the bodies. Unsheathing their swords once more, the soldiers walked towards the movement. A girl was then seen around the age of sixteen trying to stand up. It appears that she is a princess by the tiara in her hair. Finally climbing to her feet, she slowly looked around. She appeared to be quite injured. A deep gash was seen in her side and cuts and bruises across her arms and legs. What was left of her green velvet dress was swaying in what little breeze there was. Spotting the approaching enemy soldiers, her eyes widened in fear as she quickly started to back up. A sharp pain shot across her side as she quickly grabbed it with her hand. “Well well, what do we have here?” one of the men asked in a cold tone as a smirk appeared across his face. The other smirked as well as he simply said “Looks like we have one left to kill” Hearing this, Shana, the last survivor, became frightened and quickly tried to get away. Her pace was slow due to the pain. The two soldiers just smirked and slowly followed, waiting for her to collapse for an easy kill.

Flansburgh had been fighting at the front with the might of the Elven armies. The Elves had been outnumbered at the height of the battle, the king who was also Flansburgh’s brother, was killed, slain by his own Cyne’Enad (protector in Elvish). Flansburgh has faced the traitorous elf, but as the battle raged, they were lost in the surge of soldiers fighting with each other. With the king slain and palace in flames, the Elves were torn apart. Realizing how hopeless and pointless it would to continue fighting, Flansburgh left, going into the city ruins searching for his niece, he would not leave her to be killed as well. Seeing her finally, and seeing her being advanced on by two of the enemy soldiers, something within the Magi snapped. Images of the king being slain flashed across Flansburgh’s eyes, rage swept through him as he roared and rose his hand. The ancient powers of the Magi flowed throughout his entire body. “Fe’et!” a torrent of flame rushed out from the palm of his hand engulfing the first soldier. Flansburgh had already rode to the second soldier and before the stunned soldier had time to react, Flansburgh’s sword disenbowed him. Rushing to his niece’s side, he knelt down besides her, laying her down, bandaging her wounds the best he could. Flansburgh picked up his niece and fled the ruins of the once proud kingdom.

Lying in his arms, her breath was heavy. Looking back at the kingdom, tears filled her eyes. Her home and family were gone. The only one she had left was her uncle. Pain and sorrow filled her soul as she tightly closed her eyes, silently praying to herself. Twisting slightly, pressure was pushed on her wounded side, and pains like dagger were shooting through it. She started to have difficulty breathing; coughs were heard escaping through her lips. The movements from her uncle running caused great pain to her. “P….Please stop” she said in a very soft tone as she looked up at her uncle, as tears slipped down her cheeks. Closing her eyes tightly, reality of what had happened. Opening her eyes, she looked up at him as a single tear slipped down onto her dress “y…..you saved me” she spoke very softly.

Setting her down, Flansburgh stopped, sword still drawn “Rest and breath slowly” Flansburgh watched as the flames devoured the last remains of the kingdom. His niece and himself were the only ones left; the last remaining soldiers had fled. Turning back to watch his niece, Flansburgh felt sorry for her, she had lost her entire world, all in a few hours. “Yes I saved you” saying nothing else, he waited for her to rise.

Lying there on the ground, she watched the flames engulf her home as tears trailed down her cheeks. Other then her uncle, there was nothing left, her home, family, and people were gone. Her breath was slow and steady, but she was emotionally collapsing. All of the training of being strong was quickly being forgotten. “I can’t believe it….it….its all gone” she stuttered slowly in a soft tone. Slowly sitting up, she tightly grabbed her side, groaning slightly, trying to hide as much pain as possible.

Flansburgh looked at his niece then turned to her side, checking the wound, re-bandaging it and cleaning it. “You will need to take it easy my young niece; we will make our way to Betheill’Dali, and take you to the healers there” Flansburgh set back and watched as his kingdom was consumed by flames.

“How can I? I….Its all gone” she said as her voice filled with pain and sorrow. Looking down, she started to cry softly. The last of the kingdom collapsed and the stench of the flames filled the air. Looking over at the ruins one last time, she spotted two of the enemies standing, celebrating their victory. Anger filled her eyes as she slowly climbed to her feet, and started to approach them. One hand was clenched while the other tightly held her wound. Nothing was going through her mind at this moment but the word revenge.

Flansburgh uttered a single word of power, freezing her in place “That would be most unwise my young niece” Flansburgh said quietly as he moved to his niece, releasing her from the spell. “We must make our way to Betheill’Dali as I said before”

Glancing at her uncle, she turned back to look at the two men “They destroyed my kingdom, and they were…” she paused for a moment “They were the same men that kidnapped me about a year before. Remember that time? Those were the men they were trying to find” she said while pointing at them. Looking up, spotting the girl and the man next to her, small grins came across the men’s faces as they started to approach them, weapons in hand. One man started to chant a spell, winds started to blow violently. Suddenly a burst of energy struck Flansburgh, sending him back. Watching the men and her uncle, Shira started to become frightened, as the men approached her and started to restrain her struggling form. Closing her eyes, trying to regain her concentration, she slowly opened them with a small grim across her lips. Freeing one of her arms, she swung it violently, hitting one of the men in the face. A low growl escaped from his lips as his sword fell to the ground. Slowly recovering from the hit, the man quickly drew a dagger and started to approach her with great anger in his eyes. By this time, Shira had sharp, almost unbearable pains going through her side. Her breath was short and shallow and eyes were wide with fear, knowing there was nothing more she could do. Stepping back, she collapsed onto the ground, as a cry of pain escaped her lips. As the enemy approached her, an evil laugh escaped his lips. He raised his dagger to pierce her stomach, and all Shira could do, was lay there watching him.

Flansburgh indeed had been struck by the energy, or so it had appeared to everyone else. When the enemy guard approached, Flansburgh casted an illusion of himself. Chanting, Flansburgh sent a wave of holy energy into the other man, killing him. The other guard had been struck by his niece. The man had his sword ready to kill her. Flansburghs sword arm reached quickly, impaling the man through the torso.

Slowly pulling herself into a sitting position, Shira looked at her uncle, tears filling her eyes “I…I’m sorry Uncle” she said stuttering in pain. “T…take me away from here” she pleaded as she weakly struggled to her feet. Looking at the two dead men on the ground, she turned to her uncle with a soft sigh, and then very slowly started to walk towards him. Sweat drops fell from her head as she started to sway slightly. Looking up, the sky turned a dark gray, as bolts of lighting can be seen. The winds started to pick up “We must get out of here and to somewhere safe, I sense something unfriendly” she said softly with a cough or two in between. The bolts of lighting struck the ground in a raging fury that struck everything in its path. Looking down at her now bloody bandages, she shook her head slowly, only moments she passed out falling into her uncle.
