Kazman pushed Shadownight's speed higher and higher, leaning down over the horse's neck. He took the road most directly north, and didn't stop, not for traffic nor conditions. He rode hard, waiting for some signal from the Scryer that the Priestess was in sight.
He tried to keep in contact with him, tried to touch the blind man's mind, but whatever power connected them was one-sided. He had no idea whether the Scryer was even looking through him or not.
He kept faith. He kept going.

She laid there in the bed knowing it was pointless to keep arguing. She coughed slightly. The curse was on the verge of killing her, and she knew it was her uncle that was keeping her alive, without him, she would have been gone a long time ago.
trotting down the path was a beautiful long blond haired woman in long light blue robes on a beautiful white horse. she had a silver emblem on her head, making it obvious that she was some kind of priestess. She was on her way to another city to offer her assistance. She started to sing, her voice was heavenly.

Kazman yelled out towards the beautiful woman, who allowed her horse to jog at it's own pace, his eyes streaming with gladness that his quest had been so easy.
She turned at his voice, and smiled, but frowned when she spotted the scryer in his mind.
"A princess, back in the healing village! She needs your help to survive. I have been sent to find you!"
Not speaking, she nodded quietly, and turned her horse, urging i soundlessly into a gallop the quite matched Shadownight's amazing speed.
Kazman followed, his face stern as his eyes teared against the touch of the wind. Princess, we're coming...just hang on.

The last bit of her strength was leaving her. The healer stood over her sighing with a sad look on her face knowing that her uncles magic cant save her forever. Somehow, She heard the young boy in her mind. nodding her head slightly, she stared at the celing. Her face was almost as white as a ghost, and her lips were blue even though she was not cold.
The healer started to become frantic "Come on princess, dont you leave us now, dont you give up. Fight for your mother and father, fight for your kingdom!"

Flansburgh knew what he must do and it pained him to think it had come to this, he was the last of his niece's people but there was no time.
Drawing deep within himself he recited the most holy and powerful of the Magi and called upon their holy strength. the fever faded and the color of her skin returned her injury's began to disappear and suddenly Flansburgh came crashing down holding onto to his side.
His face was ashen, his body shook with the curses poison. he had done the only thing that he could, he had drawn the cruse and all of her pain into himself. it was his greatest spell and his most deadly.

It was several hours before Kazman arrived on the scene. Shadownight was sweating heavily and tired, but the priestess's horse seemed empowered by her light weight.
They burst into the room to see the scene that lay ahead of them...The priestess leans down next to the princess, and then, with minimal examination, and no words, turns to Flansburgh, focussing what she can of her healing magic in an effort to save the dying man...

"Uncle No!!!" She cried as she moved as fast as she could and climbed onto the floor next to him "Why? Why did you do this?" she asked with tears in her eyes as they streamed down her cheeks.
The priestess sighed and closed her eyes. Placing her hands above flansburgh, she called upon one of her most powerful spells. A white aura surounded him as his wounds very slowly closed. She took a deep breath and concentrated harder. After a few more moments, the curse that was killing him, slowly faded away and the fever vanished. Finishing things up, she opened her eyes. Her breath was heavy. Much of her energy was drained but at least he would live. she very slowly stood up "You will be alright my friend" she said with a very soft tone.
