The Rhino Has Landed

Post by Sir Rhino »

Hi folks ... very nice site you have here

I used to post with some of you at Pathfinder, Sci Fi Sites, and Beyond The Rim until about 7 years ago. My main interests were Babylon 5 and how the Universe worked, both in real life and in fantasy.

Since then I've posted on a number of 'exotic' BBSes, probably the strangest was the People's Daily, located in China and moderated by the Official Party Newspaper (although the BBS primarily for Afghan ex-patriots also had its strange moments).

In 2003 I settled in and became an admin at a very political BBS devoted to Al Franken, which like SV has a strong sense of community but is different in just about every other way. What's important though, is the fellowship and camaraderie in both places.

I'm still doing computer programming, although these days I'm specializing in the C# flavor of ASP.NET. It would also be nice to get a job actually doing it ... hopefully the $785,000,000,000 about to be pumped into the economy will help make that happen.

We'll see ...

Welcome Rino.

Uh you might want to fix the crater you created when you landed. Master may be pissed.

Wow! RHINO! While I have not been around much lately , even on this site, this is our official old PATD site , through many variations. Though I think that only Q can explain it all. Crazy.... Welcome back!

Not sure what that says about me.

I think Douglas Adams put it best when he said reading the PATD was like having one's brain smashed in with a slice of lemon.

A slice of lemon wrapped around a gold brick.

At least I think he was refering to the PATD when he said that. It's hard to remember. I've had a lot of head trauma slices of lemon over the years.
