Hi y'all. I hail from a small town in rural Vermont. My aim is to bring several post-apocalypse book ideas to life. I have difficulty with bridging gaps between large plot-points in the story, and receiving criticism. Not that I react defensively. I just get really discouraged. I was hoping to use this site to maybe get some personalized advice, or find a writing buddy. Someone at my skill level perhaps. Which is pretty low. Anyway it's always great to join a new group to see what will happen with things. thanks for reading my introduction.

-Great day y'all

Learning how to take criticism is an important part of the writing process. As for bringing plot points together I think you have to consider that if you can't see how things in your plot fit together maybe they really just don't fit. Never be afraid to tighten up and condense your story to keep a strong focus. Maybe some of those elements are better explored in depth in a different story.
