Ray Bradbury has passed away.

Postby Boikat » Wed Jun 06, 2012 11:24 am

One of the big "old school" (along with Clark, Asimov and Heinlein..)SF writers passed away at 91.

http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/ ... 2415.story

From the article: "Author of more than 27 novels and story collections—most famously "The Martian Chronicles," "Fahrenheit 451," "Dandelion Wine" and "Something Wicked This Way Comes"—and more than 600 short stories, Bradbury has frequently been credited with elevating the often-maligned reputation of science fiction. Some say he singlehandedly helped to move the genre into the realm of literature."

I read a short story by him once, a short story the size of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving though. He was a good writer. I wonder when he stopped writing. hmm.. :/

A great talent who lived a long, successful life that enriched us all. RIP Mr. Bradbury, and thank you.
