LOL, I read through it twice looking for the references to the B5 quotes...I figured Zathras or the Great Machince or something Vorlon-ish would come up...but no. ;-])

Another Marcus Quote....

Postby Meribor » Sat Jan 14, 2006 9:53 pm

Ivanova, "Someday, I like to be stationed somewhere with a big 4 poster bed, canopy, and maybe window with a view of a garden."
Marcus, "I like gardens ... and big 4 poster beds."

Sigh.....

Garibaldi: "Okay. It's morning. You're getting ready to go to work. You pull on your pants. Do you fasten and then zip or zip and then fasten?"
Sinclair: "What kind of question is that? Why do you want to know?"
Garibaldi: "Why do I want to know? Because I think of these things sometimes. I was getting dressed this morning, for a second, I couldn't remember which I did first. I started thinking about it: does everybody do it the same way? Is it a left-handed, right-handed thing?"
Sinclair: "You think about this stuff a lot?"
Garibaldi: "Yeah. Look, okay, I'm sorry I asked. You're always so serious all the time. Not every conversation has to be the end of the world as we know it."
Sinclair: "I didn't mean..."
Garibaldi: "No, forget it."
Sinclair: "Fasten, then zip. You?"
Garibaldi: "Fasten-zip. Want to talk socks?"
Sinclair: "No."
Garibaldi: "Just a question."
Sinclair: "I'm not having this conversation."

Sheridan : "Oh, this is a moment you can tell your children about, Captain."
Lochley : "I'll get on to having some right away."

"Scepticism is the language of the mind. What does your...heart tell you?"
-Lorien :"Into the Fire"

"I don't want to get killed because of a typo, it would be embarrassing."
-Ivanova :"A Day in the Strife"

"I carry my sword in my hand. You carry yours in your heart and in your mind. As I see it, that gives you a two-to-one advantage in arms. Be fair, citizen G'kar."
-Ta'Lon to G'Kar :"A Day in the Strife"

"There, you see! I'm going to live."
"So it would seem. Well, it's an imperfect universe."
-Londo and G'Kar:"Convictions"

"I'm not authorized for that kind of information."
"But you are the head of security."
"Then what kind of head of security would I be if I let people like me know things that I'm not supposed to know? I know what I know because I have to know it. And if I don't have to know it, I don't tell me, and I don't let anyone else tell me either. Now look, we have tried most of the other ambassadors, why don't you speak to G'Kar, maybe he knows something about this ship."
"Under the terms of our recent treaty, I am not authorized to have any official conversation with the Narn without Centauri approval."
"So you'll ask unofficially. And I can give you reasonable assurances that the head of security will not report you for doing so."
"Because you won't tell yourself about it?"
"That's right. I never get involved with my own life. It's too much trouble."
"This is a very strange place you have here, Mr. Garibaldi."
"Thank you."
- Garibaldi and David Endawi :"Matters of Honor"

"Faith manages."
- Lennier :"Confessions and Lamentations"

"You do not wish to know...anything. You wish only to speak. That which you know, you ignore, because it is inconvenient. That which you do not know, you invent. But none of that matters, except that he was a good man, a kind man, who cared about the world, even when the world cared nothing for him."
-Delenn :"The Deconstruction of Falling Stars"

"Faith and reason are the shoes on your feet. You can travel further with both than you can with just one."
-Brother Alwyn :"The Deconstruction of Falling Stars"

"That's all that faith requires. That we surrender ourselves to the possibility of hope. For that I'm content."

"Everyone always coming to Zathras with problems. Great responsibilities. But Zathras does not mind. Zathras trained in crisis management."

"So, how does it feel to make history?"
"You do not make history. You can only hope to survive it."
"G'Kar, you are a depressing person."
"Thank you."
"And stop eating that. We don't even know what it is."
"Something called 'rice'."
"Yes, and if it were any good, do you think they would be standing there throwing it at people? As marriage ceremonies go, the humans are very strange indeed. Still, they're quite a couple, aren't they?"
"Yes, they are."
"Almost makes you wish that you could peek in on them. See how's it going. G'Kar, the artificial eye that doctor Franklin gave you. Where is it?"
-Londo and G'Kar from "Rising Star"

We all remember where the eye was.

To quote Marcus. "Cheeky b@stard."

A three-edged moon-faced assassin of joy that's bad for Zath

Postby Qray » Wed Dec 17, 2008 11:22 pm

"C'mon, you cheap b@stard."
- Marcus (to Franklin)

"Touch passion when it comes your way. It's rare enough as it is. Don't walk away when it calls you by name."
- Marcus

Understanding is a three-edged sword.
- Kosh

A stroke of the brush does not guarantee art from the bristles.
- Kosh

"What do you want, you moon-faced assassin of joy?"
- Londo

"Zathras not of this time. You take, Zathras die. You leave, Zathras die. Either way, it is bad for Zathras."
- Zathras

"Ah, you seek meaning? Then listen to the music, not the song."
- Kosh

"The universe is run by the complex interweaving of three elements. Energy, matter, and enlightened self-interest."
- G'Kar
I'm going to die the way I've lived...poor, screaming, and naked.
