For those that have trouble coming up with titles for their stories, be they short, novella, epic, or what have you, start putting a custom title on all of your posts here at SV.
With the change over in software to the current format, a post's title is much more noticable. So start giving your posts a descriptive title and you may find that after a while, you're able to come up with descriptive titles for your stories much easier.

All jokes aside I can see where that would work but you still need your meds.

I think it's a good idea, but ultimately it is up to the writer of course.

Willing, but forgetful
I think that I just might give this a try. If nothing else, it will spice up my posts a little. The only problem I can think of is that I'm very forgetful and will likely stop within a day or two.

Distilled Revelations: An Exercise in Naming
I could see that being helpful. I think it also depends on how you approach titles. I choose my titles so that they either highlight some major theme present in the chapter or some major event. To come up with these titles, I usually will try to distill my chapter into a few key ideas and start brainstorming from there. In other instances, I choose titles from a word document with neat fragments I've randomly conceived that I thought could serve as chapter titles. I also look for cool words that have loaded meanings. It's a really easy way to get a big bank for your creative buck. Using words that have established connotations for chapter titles can help you summarize complex ideas in a few words.
