Anyone doing NaNoWriMo?

Postby Supercollider » Mon Oct 08, 2012 4:44 pm

Wondered if anyone from this board is doing a science fiction work in NaNoWriMo 2012.

I plan to do it.

I wrote Prodigal Son and Daddy's Girl, two books in The Fovean Chronicles (http://www.swordsandsorcery.net) doing NaNoWriMo. Now I'm going to do a tech manual about how to start programming in WPF 4.0 using an MVVM model

So, you know, a little more dry

Are you doing the tech manual for your NaNoWriMo? As a NaNo Rebel? Or that and a NaNo novel separately?

So how are things going with NaNo Science Fiction, anyone? :) Mine is slow - November is never a good month - I did better with August Camp NaNoWriMo. That was a more "mainstream fiction" manuscript. But I set it aside and took September and October to gear up for this month - did lots of scientific research reading, learned a lot :study: and was all ready to write, write, write! :smt024 Even had another artist do her own interpretation of my sketch of my aliens at a con at the end of October. Felt like my imagination was really fired up. But it's been kind of hard to recapture that after the frenzy of moving. Still, I plug on, behind in my word count, but trying not to feel bad about it, since no matter what happens during NaNo this year, I intend to keep writing until this first draft is complete.
