Surrender
By Bmat
The dancer whirls in joy among the Autumn leaves.
The dancer loves the leaves and their movement,
The brilliantly hued leaves join the dancer gracefully.
The oppressive clouds drip rain.
The clouds send cold.
Cold rain chills the dancer.
The dancer shivers, bewildered.
She reaches out for the leaves to protect them.
Her movements slow in the wind and cold.
The clouds cast more rain.
The dancer struggles to keep her smile and her joy.
Shivering, she wonders why so much rain and for so long.
The dancer moves gently with the leaves.
She sees that the clouds continue their storm.
Sadness fills her eyes as she brushes wetness from her face.
The clouds aim to stop the dancer.
The clouds have won.

Re: Surrender
Wow a poem by B'mat! That was wonderful. I could clearly picture the scene, the dancer and the emotions portrayed.

Re: Surrender
Deeply symbolic, the dancer the rain ; quite elemental and profound well written piece. Curt.
