Yes.

Is IT used for transportation?
Yes.

IT was the first of it's kind.

No: Plane, animal, smaller than a Flight Case, made before 1900, still being made, stationary.

Sort of:

Yes: Man made, small enough to fit in the cargo area of a C-130, mostly metal, has moving parts, used for transportation, machine.
