D&D : How to get PC's together for the first time.
Yea, lets just le the DM decide how we start, lets just give him our ideas here.
"They are a curious thing, these emotions. How they fly in the face of logic, how they overrule the most basic instincts. Because, in the measure of time, in the measure of humanity, we sense those self-indulgent instincts to be a weakness, we sense that the needs of the community must outweight the desires of the one. Only when we admit to our failures and recognize our weaknesses can we rise above them. Together." -Drizzt Do'Urden

This topic wasn't started to have any relation to, or influence of the SV D&D Game. It's simply a topic to discuss different ways to get PC's together and/or start a campaign

I'm not sure if this was mentioned before, but if you have players with some patience, have some get together at a tavern or whatever, and then meet the rest for the first time on the way to the adventure or as a part of that adventure. The patient ones would be the ones that'd be sitting there while the other players were screwing around getting drunk at the bar and then hitting on the barmaids and stuff... but most patient people would have to either put up with that anyway or just throw the idjits through a window....

i once had Driver Gabes character thrown out of a window of a second story building by a Minotaur that was a part of our party. i made it fair and did not give him the chance to roll to see if he didn't. However I let him decide if he landed on his feet or not.

You do not tell a DM what to do.
