In Polish mythology, a door threshold was marked as a crossover between the worlds as well as between the inside and outside of a home. It's a place to hide written spells or magical objects and wasn't considered acceptable to accept anything over (the threshold,) or to return over it once you have ...

Re: Michigan vs. Floirda

IZ!!!!!!!!!! Re: "Michigan's governor just shot down a bill that would legally allow cat hunting to rid the state of all of its strays." Hey, Florida just passed a law that will let anyone shoot anyone to rid the state of anyone! As long as you feel under threat, you can shoot 'em. (All my friends a...

Wisconsin just had a statewide open hearing on the issue of feral cat hunting hosted by the citizens' advisory group the Wisconsin Conservation Congress . Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend, but I did see some of it on television. The two major complaints I saw were that the feral cats are killi...

...I find the 'shaky camera' a little annoying. I actually like the "shaky camera" (if your referring to the way the space scenes are portrayed.) If memory serves, it was done to impart the feeling that the viewer is on one of the convoy of ships, watching through a "porthole." I find that attempt ...

Ah, I would say that's a fault of the writers. Well, yes. I'm deluded, but I don't think I'm THAT far round the bend Of course when I refer to "her" and "she" I'm refering to how the writers handle the character of the President. I think Mary McDonnell is doing an excellent job in the role. For tha...

I don't see any record of moderator action, Q. You do have cookies for the site enabled, right? (I'm assuming you do since you didn't have the problem before.) I'll see if the Master has any ideas. Q, I have no idea what might have happened to your post. New forum, new problems to learn about I sup...

Taking shelter behind a large enough hill, Q tried to think like a vodka powered, sentient Leafhopper scout ship. “Ok, if I was Timmy...where would I be...” “Hey Q!” “Hey Merle!” “You wouldn’t have a,” the mage began to ask then crouched slightly...

“Where the smeg you been?!?!?!?” Q flashed WildCard a grin as he unloaded with both Kil-O-Zaps at the enemy lines. “Miss me?” The cardweaver raised her hands to the skies, and crumpling two playing cards with storm clouds inscribed on them, rained bolts of lightening down ont...

That's something that cheeses me off about the President. She KNOWS the cylones are masters of manipulation. She TELLS Starbuck nearly as much and yet she believes the cylone when he tells her that Adama is a cylone agent? Worse, she believes him when he says that the humans will find Kobol. Like it...

I had this great post written (everything I write is awe inspiring, haven't you met my ego? ;-]) and now for some reason it's gone. So instead of rewriting it at the moment, I'd like to broach another subject that I was going to ask about... Every BBS religious topic I've ever seen (with the excepti...

I just logged in, wrote the preceding post, (it took all of a minute or two,) and then when I tried to preview it, I was asked to log in again. Apparently, it didn't like it that I was already logged in.

I posted a post in the Religeous Debate topic... m ...earlier today. Around 12pm CST. It was there after I posted it and now is gone. There was nothing inflammatory or that I know of in violation of Forum decorum. Was the post deleted by the powers that be for some reason? Or is this a glitch? (Q)
