I can not really say, it would really depend on the situation. Of course it would be cool to travel with it and be able to heal. But the taking over of the body part.... kinda disturbs me.
I am the poet of the body and I am the poet of the Soul. The pleasures of heaven are with me and the pains of hell are with me. The first I graft and increase upon myself, the latter I translate into a new tongue.

The chance at knowledge (the knowledge that the Tok'ra has accumulated) at the initial joining and the chance to live a rather longer life to possibly explore the galaxy is very tempting, but I'd need to know more about it before I'd be willing to commit myself.

What the exact rules of being a Tok'ra are, for instance. What kind of control and awareness would I retain over my own body. What kind of personality does the prospectant Tok'ra have? How are disputes or disagreements between the host and symbiont settled.

I'd have to say, I despise arrogance and that's something many of the Tok'ra seem to have in spades.

I don't see why not. After all, the Tok'Ra believe in sharing the body. Not taking it over. You'd live at least another 100 years.

Part of the question is whether I'd want to live the extra years. If I were a very young person, then I'd think that the extra years would be welcome.

If I were an old person and had seen my family and friends all die, then it would take some thinking. I remember my grandmother sadly commenting that all of her friends were dead. On the other hand, she had her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, and she was valued and in the community. Something else to consider would be the blessing of having an older family member around for the younger generations. Think of the life experiences of a past time that the older person could share.

Well The only fact i Don't like about it is the fact is when they take over you don't have a bit of control and the fact remains they can take over at anytime if it so needs to be. That i would not be able to handle.

I doubt that a Tok'ra would WANT my body. Unless the ability to heal the body would include my current infirmities as well as old injuries, I'd not want to. However, if those were to be taken care of completely, then I'd have to say YES. Being a Type 1 diabetic and having my body slowly fall apart on me (worsening blood circulation, worsening eyesight) is not fun. I already have a considerably shorter lifespan due to my diabetes, but when you add all the cancer and heart problems in my family, well, YES, I'd do it. As a diabetic, I will sometimes lose my personal control anyway, since low blood sugar problems will do that, so I think I might have a bit more tolerance towards the idea. The caveat about personality is very important to consider, however, and I'd want the chance to find out enough about the symbiont that I can make a more educated decision about it.

Look up Chromium in your local WAl-Mart. It is a trace mineral that helps the body regulate sugar and insulin in the body. I am not sure how much it will help but it may help.

Thank you. I will first research it, though, since some minerals you do NOT want to take too much of...

I would in a heart beat. I believe that the ultimate objective of humanity should be the increase of knowledge and understanding. Tok'Ra symbiot physical changes not withstanding, I would seek to absorb as much information as possible.
